Dear friends,

I entered 2012 in silence, due to a surgery on my vocal chords just before Christmas. A small polyp have caused a lot of trouble over a long period of time, and had to be removed. Everything went well. I have just started to speak again. In the weeks to come I will be focusing on recovering as fast as possible, and spend time writing to finish new songs. Towards mid/end of February I'll be out singing again. Can't wait to play, and visit Istanbul for the first time!

Christmas is only a month away. During December I will do a few concerts with my lovely friend Frøydis and the two other wonderful musicians in our quartet, Bjørn & Bjørn, playing songs from our Christmas album "Sanger Om Glede og Fred" (2010). In addition to this I'm fortunate to have been invited as a guest on two special events: With Bugge solo, in Oslo Concert Hall (go see him if you can!!), and with the local children's choir Toppåsen Skolekor in our church Holmlia kirke. They sing so beautifully! If you happen to visit Norway and Oslo in December, welcome:-)

You have all been waiting a long time, and I just have to say thanks for being so patient:)

Dear friends,

Christmas is just around the corner, and Norway looks lovely covered in snow. But it is cold. Since last time, I have recorded a Christmas album together with my wonderful friend and fellow musician Frøydis Grorud (sax/flute). The album is called "Sanger Om Glede Og Fred", which means "Songs of Joy and Peace". It is, as you probably figured already, taken from Joni Mitchell's "River", which I was granted permission to translate into Norwegian. What a thrill to have the opportunity to sing this song! With us on the recording are two other great Norwegian musicians: Bjørn Klakegg (guitars) and Bjørn Kjellemyr (double bass). It has been so much fun to make this album. Hi everyone,

We are back from our German tour, which also included a couple of concerts in Norway. Thank you for coming to our shows!! We had a great time and wonderful meetings with all you people who joined us in each city. Unfortunately, I caught a cold just before we left, and this forced us to cancel our second night in Cologne. I was deeply sorry for this, and cannot express how much I appreciated the support and understanding from the warm audience who had come to hear us and had to go home empty handed!
We will be back to play again in September. Looking so much forward to seeing you again - in good health and capable of singing!!
